Tracy came highly recommend and had amazing client testimonies. If we’re being honest, I was also a little terrified that I would be the exception to all those positive reviews and the one woman she couldn’t astound; because it’s been a long time since I held any ‘appeal’ and how can you capture on camera what doesn’t exist? Reluctant to the point of almost cancelling the morning of because it felt ‘pointless and idiotic’. Fast forward to the session that I DID NOT CANCEL and DAMN did I feel taken care of, like ‘You’ve got lipstick on your teeth’ level taken care of (my translation is ‘I’m looking out for you and I’ve got your back’). She was funny, she was chill, she was HONEST. Even the session itself made me feel great about myself because there was enough trust established though honest feedback that I ALSO TRUSTED WHEN SHE SAID ‘YOU LOOK GREAT, YOU’RE GONNA LOVE THIS’. Truly, it was one of the highlights of my year and I wish I could do this more often.

When I did see the photos of myself, it was almost jarring. They might be the best photos I have of me, I was practically ready to walk into a modeling agency and tell them to ‘calm themselves, the next hot thing is here’. Don’t worry, I didn’t 😂.

But months later, I’m still SO glad I didn’t chicken out and when I’m having a down day… honestly i sometimes look at my photos and remember that I can do scary things, I’m strong, and (captured with the right camera), I’m freaking beautiful. My session wasn’t a secret, so I got to keep my hair and makeup gorgeous all day (and really, it was truly astonishing).

If you’ve made it this long into this review, I’m guessing you’re on the fence. Get off the fence! You’ll never again be as young as you are in this exact moment. Tomorrow is no guarantee. Maybe you’re ‘starting your diet Monday’ but chances are, your body is beautiful now so jump! Seeing myself the way Tracy captured me really shifted my self-perception. She made me, a pretty average mom in her mid-30s, look truly beautiful. So those magazine models? They ain’t got nothing on you, and I know this because they ain’t got nothing on me 🙂

My recommendation: book your session, take a deep breath, buy some cute stuff, shut your self-doubt down for a couple hours, advocate for what you want, trust Tracy, and make plans to keep your makeup on the rest of the day. Enjoy it. The downside: you’ll probably want to do it again. 🙂

I was so so so nervous and anxious about doing it but wanted to make an album for my husband as a first anniversary gift. I am incredibly self conscious about my body and had felt sexy approximately zero days in my life, up until my session with Tracy. She was so friendly and chill and made me feel immediately comfortable, despite the fact that I was wearing a very small amount of clothing, haha.
