Pre-Shoot Questions

When should I book my session?

It’s best to book your session at least one month in advance. This allows ample time for any appointments (hair, nails, esthetician, etc.) and to gather your outfits. Weekend sessions book quickly due to limited availability, so most clients book on weekdays and take a day off work. Our flexible scheduling options and commitment to never rush a session mean you can fully enjoy the experience at a time that suits you best.

I need my album in hand by a specific date. When do I need to schedule my appointment?

Our turnaround time is 4-6 weeks. If you need your album less than a month before your event, we may not be able to get it to you in time. However, feel free to reach out to see what we can do.

Where will my session take place?

In St. Louis, our private studio is located in a safe shopping center right off I-70 in St. Charles. In Denver, we’ll take care of finding and booking the perfect space for your shoot based on your vision for your session.

Do you provide professional hair and makeup?

Absolutely! Part of the experience is being pampered, allowing you to enjoy a half day of relaxation without any worries. The glam session is fun and designed to enhance your natural beauty, with lots of definition for the camera using lashes, contour, and lip color.

Do I have to get naked?

There is no requirement to remove any clothing that makes you feel uncomfortable. If you decide to shoot nude or implied nude images, we promise they will be tasteful and we’ll always prioritize your comfort.

I have no idea what to wear. Will you help?

This is probably our most common question. During your creative consultation, we’ll discuss what you want to show off and what you want to hide. We’ll then give you recommendations of styles we believe you’ll love and the stores to find them. We want to help you find pieces that flatter your body and make you feel fabulous.

During the Shoot Boudoir Photography FAQs

Will you help with posing?

Modeling can be challenging, and we don’t expect you to know what to do! We’ll pose you from head to toe, including coaching your facial expressions, to ensure you feel confident and look your best.

Can I bring a friend?

While we like to think our friends will be supportive and encouraging during the session, our experience has almost always been the opposite. Therefore, we’ve made the decision to not allow anyone other than the client in the studio.

I’m so nervous… Are you sure I can do this?

Your feelings are completely valid. But YES, you can do this and will love it! The entire TK Boudoir team is comprised of women, and we’re all super nice and personable. The creative consultation will help ease your concerns, give you lots of ideas for what to wear and how to prep for your session, and answer any questions you might have.

Post-Shoot Questions

Will my photos be kept private?

We will only share images if you give us explicit written permission. If you want your images to be completely private, that is totally fine, and we will never share them without your consent.

What happens after the photoshoot?

Usually, the viewing session is within a few days to a week after your shoot. It is conducted on Zoom with Tracy, and we typically schedule it during your session, so bring your calendar!

Are my images edited?

Yes! All of your photos will be meticulously retouched. If there’s anything specific you want us to do in retouching, we are happy to accommodate if possible, as long as it still looks like you.

Do I have to get an album?

There’s no requirement to choose an album. We offer various other physical products and digital options. As long as you meet our $400 minimum purchase at your viewing session, you can choose whatever option you’d like.
